How to use your Fitbit Inspire HR

Fitbit Basics

Wear your Inspire HR everyday to track a variety of stats.

  • Steps taken

  • Distance covered

  • Calories burned (total for day including rest)

  • Active Minutes

  • All day heart rate and zones

  • Sleep duration from the previous night

See your stats conveniently on your wrist with Inspire HR's on-screen dashboard

From the clock face, swipe up to see your key health & fitness stats:

  • Core stats: steps taken today, calories burned, distance covered, and active minutes
  • Heart rate: real-time heart-rate tracking
  • Hourly activity: steps taken this hour and the number of hours you met your hourly activity goal
  • Sleep: sleep duration from the previous night
  • Water: how much water you have drank today
  • Female health: opt-in to see where you are in your cycle

Navigation

Your Inspire HR wakes when you lift and turn your wrist towards you. You can turn off this behavior in the quick settings menu.

Inspire HR has a touchscreen, so you can easily swipe up and down to see your health stats.

Tap an icon to open a feature.

From anywhere in the menu, press the button to go back.

Press & hold the button to access your quick settings to see current battery life, notification settings and more.

Daily Goal

Inspire HR celebrates when you reach your main goal. By default, it's set to 10,000 steps. Your step count resets everyday at midnight. You can change your main goal in the Fitbit app.

SmartTrack: Automatic Exercise Recognition

Inspire HR will automatically detect most exercises and record them using SmartTrack.

SmartTrack automatically recognizes continuous movement occurring for at least 15 minutes. You can adjust the duration for each exercise type in the Fitbit app.

You can see the automatically detected exercise in the Fitbit app.

Sleep & Sleep Reminders

Your tracker automatically tracks your sleep. Just wear it to bed! Using heart rate, you can track your time in light, deep and REM sleep, plus time awake.

Use the Fitbit app to edit your sleep logs or set a Bedtime Reminder to help you maintain a consistent sleep schedule.

Silent Alarms

Set a silent alarm in the Fitbit app to gently wake you up in the morning or alert you at a certain time of day.

Countdown Timer & Stopwatch

To set a countdown timer or stopwatch, swipe down from your clock face and tap "Timers."

From there, choose "Stopwatch" or "Countdown."

Stopwatch: Press play.

Countdown: Choose the number of hours and minutes by scrolling through and tapping the numbers you want. Press play.

Calorie Burn Tracking

Check Inspire HR or the Fitbit app to see how many calories you’re burning throughout the day. Log food intake in the app so you can keep your nutrition on track.

Female Health

Understand your body on a deeper level by tracking your cycle, symptoms and more.

When you opt in through the Fitbit app, track where you are in your cycle from Inspire HR.

Reminders to Move

Reminders to Move help you get moving every hour. Throughout your day, try to hit 250 steps each hour.

Customize which hours you receive reminders in the Fitbit app.

Goal-Based Exercise Modes

Choose from exercises like Bike, Run and Yoga so you can see real-time stats right on your wrist.

You can also set targets for calorie burn, distance or time to get real-time updates when you reach each goal.

Real-Time Pace & Distance

Connect Inspire HR to your phone’s GPS to see real-time pace and distance on your wrist during walks, jogs, hikes and bike rides.

Connected GPS is available for all supported phones with GPS sensors. To use Connected GPS, make sure GPS and Bluetooth are enabled on your phone, and keep your phone with you while you exercise.

24/7 Heart Rate Tracking

24/7 heart rate tracking lets you see your heart rate in real-time, helps you maximize your exercise sessions and helps you understand your heart rate trends over time.

Heart Rate Zones

Recognize your Fat Burn, Cardio and Peak heart rate zones to optimize each of your workouts with just the right amount of effort.

Resting Heart Rate

Wear Inspire HR all day and night to record your resting heart r ate and track your heart rate over time in the Fitbit app.

Cardio Fitness Level

Use Inspire HR with the Fitbit app to get your Cardio Fitness Score—a snapshot of how fit you are—plus tips to improve.

Notifications

Stay in touch with call, text, calendar, and smartphone app notifications from your phone.

See incoming notifications when your phone and Inspire HR are within range. A notification causes the tracker to vibrate.

Guided Breathing Sessions

Complete a guided breathing session on Inspire HR to find moments of calm throughout the day. Choose between 2-minute and 5-minute breathing exercises.

Clock Faces

Inspire HR comes with several clock styles so you can track your stats with a look you love. Change your clock face in the Fitbit app.

Wear & Care Tips

  • Clean your band and wrist regularly with a soap-free cleanser.

  • Take your device off from time to time.

Inspire HR is water resistant up to 50 meters. If your tracker gets wet, remove and dry completely after your activity.

How to Wear

All day: Wear the band loose enough that it can move back and forth on your wrist.

During workouts: Secure the band so it lays flat, 2-3 finger-widths above your wrist bone.

Switching Bands

Swap your band for larger sizes or a variety of stylish accessory options. Fitbit accessories are designed to work best with our products.

To remove: Slide the ball pin inwards to release the band.

To attach: Insert the pin in the left hole first. Keep the band at an upwards angle. Then slide the ball pin inwards while pushing the band into the slot.

Charging

To charge your tracker, align the gold pins on the charger with the contacts on the back of Inspire HR. Once aligned the charger magnetically snaps into place.

You'll see a low battery indicator on your tracker when your battery level is low. Charging may take up to 2 hours, depending on the current battery level.

Your fully charged Fitbit Inspire HR has a battery life of up to 5 days. Note that battery life and charge cycles vary with use, settings and many other factors; actual results will vary.
